Video-call setup

Buzzword Bingo for Zoom, Meet, and Teams

Open a private bingo card beside the meeting you already use, then mark jargon manually or let the browser listen when audio capture is available.

Bizword Bingo works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and browser-based calls because it is a standalone web app. It does not join your meeting or install a plugin. You choose the audio source, pick a card, and play beside the call.

Fast setup

  1. Open Bizword Bingo in current Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
  2. Choose WFH Meeting Classics, Corporate Classics, AI Hype, or a custom pack.
  3. Choose an audio source: Mic + Tab, Tab audio, or Mic only.
  4. Click Start Listening, grant the requested browser permission, and keep the card open beside the call.
  5. Tap cells manually whenever you want. Automatic marking is a helper, not a requirement.

Best audio mode by platform

Meeting setupRecommended modeWhy
Google Meet in Chrome or EdgeMic + TabUse tab audio for the call and mic audio for your own voice when both permissions are available.
Teams in a browser tabMic + Tab or Tab audioBrowser capture can hear the tab; use Mic + Tab if your own comments should count too.
Zoom in a browser tabMic + Tab or Tab audioWorks like other browser meetings when the tab exposes shareable audio.
Desktop Zoom or Teams appMic onlyThe browser usually cannot capture audio from a separate desktop app directly, so microphone mode listens to room or speaker audio.
Conference room or in-person meetingMic onlyThe device microphone hears the room. Manual marking is better if the room is noisy or sensitive.

What the browser can and cannot hear

Bizword Bingo asks the browser for microphone audio, display or tab audio, or both. If a tab share has no audio track, the app asks you to re-share and check the browser's audio-sharing option. If tab capture is not supported, the tab modes are disabled and microphone mode remains available.

Browser support and meeting-app behavior vary, especially for desktop apps. That is why every card also supports manual tapping: if capture is blocked, delayed, noisy, or inappropriate for the meeting, you can still play without audio access.

Private by design

Automatic marking runs on your device. The Moonshine speech model loads in a browser Web Worker, and audio is not uploaded to Bizword Bingo. The model and voice-activity files download from Bizword Bingo's own model host and are cached by the browser after first use.

Custom packs are also local by default. They stay in your browser storage unless you export JSON or copy a share link.

Which card should you use?

Frequently asked questions

Does Bizword Bingo work with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams?

Yes. Open Bizword Bingo in a browser beside the meeting and choose a listening mode that fits the call.

Do I need a meeting plugin?

No. Bizword Bingo is a standalone web app, not a Zoom, Meet, or Teams plugin.

What if automatic listening misses a phrase?

Tap the cell manually. Recognition is useful for common spoken phrases, but noisy audio, crosstalk, acronyms, and unusual names can still need a human click.
